Dr. Reyanna Bauder

Dr. Bauder was born and raised in Penticton. Her passion for helping people was ignited in elementary school when her mother brought her on her first medical (dental) volunteer trip. Since 2000, she has been on 4 dental missions and 5 optometry missions. In a world where refractive error (needing glasses) is the number one cause of blindness, giving the gift of sight has fueled her ambition to pursue her education and she knew she would be an eye doctor even before starting her Bachelor of Science in Kelowna. She graduated top of her class in 2016 from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She enjoyed clinical rotations in Austin, TX and New Orleans, LA. She was impressed by the integrated medical practice and chose to attain her Louisiana license to continue working closely with ophthalmologists. She was enthusiastic to practice to the full extent of her training, including performing surgeries and laser procedures.

The experience she gained prepared Reyanna to treat a vast array of ocular conditions with the most advanced technology and therapeutic management. She believes that educating her patients enhances the care she provides and her compassionate approach encourages a comfortable experience. She is delighted to practice in the Okanagan and to give back to her community through her patient care at iSight Optometry.
